Dave and Laura Dowler are the founders and pastors of Waveside Church, a multicultural body of believers that love God, serve our community and have a lot of fun!
Dave spent over two decades working in the music industry followed by 12 years of leadership at the progressive ministry of Guts Church. Laura’s personal victory over an eating disorder led her to start a women’s abuse recovery group in 1993. Seeing hundreds of women set free from their past along with her academic background and years of experience gained in leading these groups inspired Laura and Dave to publish “Reality Revealed” which is a recovery workbook tailored to guide individuals away from the harmful effects of a traumatic past and into the hope-filled life of freedom God desires for everyone. The heartbeat of Waveside is for restoration to occur in every area of a person’s life through experiencing God’s presence and knowing His Word.
Dave & Laura met while attending Oral Roberts University and have been married for over 27 years. They reside in Malibu with their two sons, Aaron and Nathan, who are currently students at Pepperdine University and Malibu High School.
